The Cristofori G53L 5’3″ baby grand is one size larger than the smallest and is designed for those seeking a bigger sound and more responsive touch. It still fits most smaller spaces, but sounds better with its wide-tail design that allows for a bigger soundboard and longer strings than most other pianos of this size. The duplex scale adds to the instrument’s musicality.
Proportionally, this baby grand has a larger look and style than the smaller size, but is still compact enough to fit anywhere.
Like the other grand models, it contains the same quality features like a beveled lid, solid brass hardware, hinges and pedals, slow-close fallboard and elegantly styled spade legs.Bartolomeo Cristofori, the Italian instrument maker, designed and built the first “pianoforte” in the year 1700.
