The longer keys and hammer shanks provide for an incredibly responsive touch. The extra large soundboard projects a rich sound not possible from smaller baby grands. This and more is available at a significantly lower price point than a typical high-end large grand piano.
Quality materials like Siberian White Spruce (soundboard), German Hornbeam and Hard Rock Maple (action parts), and German Roslau piano wire (strings) make an especially noticeable difference in this larger and well scale-designed piano.
Bartolomeo Cristofori, the Italian instrument maker, designed and built the first “pianoforte” in the year 1700. Named after him, the Cristofori brand was introduced in 2004.
